PyCon is a reminder that software has a social layer. Libraries become durable because people document, maintain, test, teach, and make room for new contributors.
The Streamlit AI Hack brought that energy into a short build cycle. I built and demonstrated an AI application with Snowflake Cortex, working from product requirements to a functioning story under time pressure. The result earned first place.
The award mattered, but the stronger takeaway was speed with structure: a clear user path, a small reliable core, and enough polish for the value to be obvious in a live demo.
